The USC Thornton school enjoyed wonderful presentation by Hyowon Woo, the former composer in residence for the Incheon City Chorale. Thank you to the Noble Foundation for your support of our second guest artist at the University of Southern California. Next? Rod Eichenberger in November and then Joseph Flummerfelt in February. While it takes considerable work to coordinate all of these residencies, the experience for our students in the Thornton School of Music is invaluable.
Hyowon Woo shared her beautiful music with our students, followed by a terrific concert with the USC Thornton Oriana Women’s Choir and the Apollo Men’s Chorus conducted by Irene Apanovitch, Ashley Ramsey, Michael Dawson, Ernest Harrison, Scott Rieker and Da’Jon James. Jo-Michael Scheibe even made it part of the Wind Ensemble Concert conducted by Robert Reynolds and Sharon Lavery. For more events going on at USC Thornton, check out their events schedule.
